Burn: How to get rid of the Stain

Burn spots are unsightly and very annoying. In addition to having a yellowish color, they can ruin fabrics and make them impossible to wear. To avoid causing burns on your clothes, of course, you must always be careful not to get distracted while ironing or touching hot objects. To get rid of the stain permanently, there are some easy-to-follow tricks. Here’s how to get rid of a burn stain.

Needed: White vinegar, Dry cloth, Hydrogen peroxide, Ammonia, Basin with water, Marseille soap, Bleach.

Vinegar

To begin removing stains from fabric, white vinegar has proven to be an excellent remedy. Pour the white vinegar onto a clean linen or burlap cloth and rub the stained dress or fabric. Be careful not to rub too hard, and you will ruin it. Thoroughly rinse the dress with the stain, and you will see excellent results.

The combination of hydrogen peroxide and ammonia has also proved to be decisive in eliminating burn stains. Mix ten drops of ammonia with ten drops of hydrogen peroxide, add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide and let this compound act on the stain for an hour.

You will have to follow this procedure, wearing gloves and a protective mask. Wash the garment with water and Marseille soap, and the stain will disappear.

Hydrogen peroxide

You can also try simply scrubbing the stain with hydrogen peroxide and castile soap if it is a small burn. Obviously, pay attention to the type of fabric before applying this mix of aggressive products. Avoid applying these products to delicate fabrics (silk, cashmere, wool). Try to rub delicate fabrics only with Marseille soap and remove the stain without rubbing hard but always gently.

Bicarbonate

Another way to get rid of burn stains from clothes is to take the garment, moisten it and sprinkle some baking soda on the stain. Wait about 20 minutes for the baking soda to dry perfectly. With a brush, lightly rub the stain and wait another 20 minutes. Rinse the garment under running water.

Please leave it to soak only with water and rinse it again. Stretch the garment away from direct sunlight but in a semi-sunny environment, always in the open air. In case the burn stain does not go away, repeat these steps.

Sandpaper

To remove a burnt stain from wooden furniture, you must first-use sandpaper, level the surface, and then use furniture filling products. The kit can be purchased at any hardware store.

Note: Never apply hydrogen peroxide on silk.
