How to clean a porcelain stoneware bathroom

Today the bathrooms are commercially available in different models and styles; they are also built with various materials such as standard or glazed ceramic, metal, porcelain, resin, etc.

The components of a bathroom can be chosen according to the furnishings of the bathroom or your home. Unfortunately, sanitary wares tend to get dirty easily, as they are used daily for personal hygiene. Here’s how to clean a porcelain stoneware bathroom.

Needed: Lemon, white vinegar, baking soda, chamois cloths, microfibre cloths, eco-friendly detergents.

Fill a pan with warm water and add three tablespoons of baking soda. Dip a cloth or sponge in the solution, wring it out, and clean the porcelain surface. Sprinkle the baking soda on any opaque spots. Remove dirt with a paper towel soaked in hot water and rinse the sanitary ware with hot water. Dry with a cotton cloth.

Use homemade products: mix a solution made up of 50/50 white vinegar and hot water and put it in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture onto the porcelain stoneware surface, let it sit for a minute or two, and then clean with a soft cloth.

Add a few drops of lemon if the bathroom is particularly dirty. Use a toothbrush immersed in hot water and sodium bicarbonate solution to rub any incrustations due to excessive use of highly alkaline detergents.

Immerse the sponge in the solution again, squeeze it, and clean the bathroom surface. Dry thoroughly with cotton or microfibre cloth. Make a paste of vinegar and salt.

Dip a toothbrush with nylon bristles or soft in the paste and pass it lightly on the stains, making circular movements. Do not rub the brush too much. Otherwise, the porcelain stoneware could scratch itself. Rinse the paste with clean water and dry with a soft cloth or buckskin.

To avoid the formation of future stains and to give a greater shine to the bath, mix the vegetable oil with the vinegar in equal parts, and apply it lightly on the surface.

Rub with a soft, clean cloth until a shiny effect is achieved. It is possible to use eco-friendly or organic commercial detergents based on plant or fruit extracts to perform a daily cleaning, even on a porcelain stoneware floor.
