How to clean the terracotta floor with vinegar

Cleaning the terracotta floor can be quite difficult and complicated. The special products that are on the market often have high costs. Sometimes they are ineffective or too aggressive and can cause serious damage to the floor.

In this case, the best solution is to make a homemade blend with vinegar. Not only will you save significantly in economic terms, but it will also guarantee you a visible and appreciable result. Let’s see practically how to clean the terracotta floor with vinegar.

Needed: Vinegar, bucket, water.

Create the solution

To create this ” miracle potion, ” you will need five liters of warm water, ten tablespoons of white wine vinegar, ten tablespoons of ethyl alcohol, and two tablespoons of dishwashing soap. Mix everything in a bucket to wash the floors, then, with the help of a rag or a mop, start wiping it all over the surface.

After having swept the floor well, continue with the washing and empty the bucket with the now dirty water. You can repeat the operation or rinse with plain warm water.

Use a protective wax.

It is straightforward to find the ingredients for this type of washing, and many of you will already have everything you need at home. The result will be immediately evident, and with little money, you will achieve the same results you would get by purchasing chemical and costly products.

The floor looks shiny as you have never seen it before. To keep it as clean and as new as possible, remember to use a neutral protective wax easily found in every supermarket from time to time. With the same method, it is also possible to wash other surfaces, always in terracotta and ceramic, and other coating materials.

Use vinegar for something else too.

In addition to cleaning terracotta, vinegar can be used for many other functions. The kitchen can be useful for eliminating bad odors from sink drains if heated and poured down the pipes. Also great for cleaning refrigerators and microwaves.

If you add a few drops to the washing machine, in addition to acting as an anti-limescale and guaranteeing its maintenance, it will work as a softener and eliminate all difficult odors such as, for example, that of smoke, egg, and grease. Finally, vinegar can also be used for personal care; if used to rinse the hair and disinfect it, it will make them extremely shiny and much stronger.
