How to keep alive the plants

If your garden looks like the Sahara desert, if you leave the flowers that your partner gives you (add with much effort and those two miserable times a year) wilted and sad in the vessel for days, even if you reduce the agony that seedling. ” So easy to maintain that we can succeed even you ” who is so determined to give your mother, if you can even commit suicide to a succulent, certainly not even know what a green thumb.

But do not despair. Below you will find some simple tips to turn your home into a nursery! Okay, please do not overdo it, you do not become the Luca Sardella of the situation, but you can at least learn a few tricks to ensure your seedlings a few more days of life!

Instructions to treat the plants.

  • First, accept that your new roommate plant has needs that you and you took the effort to satisfy them. Do not hide behind phrases like ” but yeah, just a bit of water and some sweet words, and you’re done! Do not you know that with the plants talk? ” Knowing that within two days, you will remember even more of it at home. Because let’s face it, this is the main problem: your total indifference to anything that leaves and roots.
  • Now that you have resigned your duties, read up on what are the real needs of your plant, for example:
  1. What kind of earth prefers (more or less acidic, more or less sandy).
  2. How much water needs.
  3. Whether it should be kept in the light, or if you prefer the penumbra.
  • Most important is to avoid that the earth is compact too, so it’s good practice to move it often, but gently, being careful not to compromise the roots.
  • The water drainage system must be kept under control, which is why you may want to put in the vase the first layer of expanded clay to prevent water from accumulating and stagnation in the saucer.
  • Even the vessel’s choice has its importance: it must not be too small and prevent the roots from growing sufficiently.
  • You can try mixing the ground coffee grounds, uncooked rice, or eggshells shredded to grow plants lusher with more flowers and give deeper green leaves. All three are excellent fertilizers.
  • If, despite all your efforts, the plant begins to show signs of slowing down, do not give up! I explain the method of propagation and propagation by cuttings: cut a sprig of course not yet dry, your plant and put it in a jar or dark glass bottle with a little of water. Keep the light, but not direct sun until they sprout roots (it takes at least a couple of months, also depends on the season and the temperature, because the roots can extend properly) and then transplanted in pots with soil.
